At Ruskin, we succeed through construction but thrive through giving back to the communities where we work and live.
We contribute to communities by hiring local contractors, suppliers and workers. We communicate with residents about projects that may affect their region, their town or their neighborhood. We initiate and support local training programs to help build a more skilled workforce with better opportunities for future employment once our project is completed.
Our experienced tradespeople mentor new and young workers to ensure they develop safe work habits and confidence in their abilities.
And we commit our support to local initiatives. Ruskin has sponsored Christmas celebrations and community gatherings for the Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation in Manitoba, as well as summer festivities in Fort Providence, Northwest Territories. In addition to financial support, we have also donated sports equipment and hockey jerseys to communities in the Northwest Territories, Southeast Asia and Mexico.
Ruskin employees go to work in communities around the world. And wherever we go, we strive to make a positive impact. It’s a responsibility we’re proud of.
